What is the minimum wall thickness?
Reliable minimum is 2 mm. Small parts with stiffening ribs can achieve 1.5 mm. Thanks to the RIM process, even thick walls (up to 12 mm) show no sink marks.
How does PDCPD compare to carbon fiber?
For non-load-bearing fairings and covers, PDCPD offers lower tooling cost, isotropic impact resistance, and full RF transparency. Carbon fiber remains superior for primary structures and ultimate stiffness. Many customers combine PDCPD outer skins with carbon fiber inner frames.
What is the lead time for 300 pcs?
Approximately 30 days, including aluminum tooling build and first article approval. Repeat orders after tooling qualification ship in 18-25 days.
Do you sign an NDA for IP protection?
Yes. We sign a standard NDA before exchanging STEP/CAD files. All customer designs are strictly confidential. Molds are marked as customer property.
Can PDCPD parts be painted?
Yes. PDCPD directly accepts PU, epoxy, and UV-cure topcoats without gel coat. We offer primer + topcoat in any RAL or Pantone color.
What is the minimum order quantity?
Aluminum tooling projects from 50 pcs. Steel tooling projects (long life) from 500 pcs. For design validation, we also offer CNC prototypes before committing to tooling.
