Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the questions we hear most about molds & equipment

Should I choose aluminum or steel mold? +

For runs under 5,000 pcs, aluminum (7075-T6) is the cost-effective choice β€” 60% cheaper than steel, 2–3 weeks lead time. For 10,000+ pcs or abrasive formulations, steel (P20/H13) pays off long-term with 100,000+ shot lifespan.

Who owns the mold after production? +

You do. Mold ownership transfers to you upon project completion. We store it free for 2 years, then can ship to your facility. No licensing fees, no restrictions on where you produce.

Can you do rush mold fabrication? +

Yes. Rush aluminum molds in 10 days (vs standard 2–3 weeks) for an additional 30% expedite fee. We run 24/7 shifts and prioritize your job. Steel rush molds in 3–4 weeks (+40% fee).

Do you sell RIM machines separately? +

Yes. We supply HF-RIM20 (20L), HF-RIM80 (80L), and HF-RIM200 (200L) machines. Includes installation, training, and 1-year warranty. CE certified. We also provide raw material supply agreements.

What does DFM feedback include? +

Wall thickness analysis, draft angle check, parting line recommendation, gate location, potential sink/void prediction, and mold flow simulation. We deliver a 3–5 page report with specific recommendations within 3 working days.

How do you ship molds internationally? +

Molds are packed in custom wooden crates with anti-rust coating and desiccant. Shipped via sea freight (30–45 days) or air freight (5–7 days). We handle all export documentation, insurance, and customs paperwork.

Do you sign NDA for mold designs? +

Yes. Mutual NDAs before any design exchange. Mold designs are your intellectual property β€” we never reuse, replicate, or share them. We can also sign IP protection agreements for long-term partnerships.
